        Livestock Slaughterings
      Description
        Information on slaughterings and meat production for human consumption is based on a monthly collection from abattoirs and other major slaughtering establishments. This collection provides estimates of animals slaughtered on farms, by country butchers and other small slaughtering establishments. Poultry slaughterings statistics have been compiled from information supplied by commercial poultry establishments.
