The 2016 Australian Census and Temporary Entrants Integrated Dataset (ACTEID) was created using statistical techniques to link data on temporary visa holders with data from the 2016 Census of Population and Housing. This data allows for new insights into the characteristics of temporary residents in Australia previously not available, including employment, income and housing. This publication presents an overview of selected social and economic characteristics of the key groups of temporary entrants in Australia at the time of the 2016 Census.
