Division 2 - Economic Development, covers R&D directed towards the various areas of economic development. Such R&D is undertaken in support of plant and animal production, developing mineral and energy resources, energy provision or supply and the development of manufacturing industry, construction industry and transportation systems (incl. safety), the provision of information and communication, the provision of commercial services to all areas of economic development and the contribution to understanding the economic framework within which development takes place.
