PROJECTED POPULATION, ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER AUSTRALIANS, INDIGENOUS REGIONS, 2006–2021

This file contains population projections, by age and sex, for the period 30 June 2006 to 30 June 2021 for Indigenous Regions.

This file is in SuperTABLE format. To use it, you need SuperTABLE on your PC. Please see SuperTABLE Help for more information about how to download SuperTABLE.

This SuperTABLE contains 2 alternative projection series (Series A and B), based on different combinations of assumptions on Indigenous fertility, paternity, life expectancy at birth, and internal migration. The assumptions used are detailed in Chapter 2, Experimental Estimates and Projections, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, 1991 to 2021 (cat. no. 3238.0).

ABOUT THIS DATA CUBE

This SuperTABLE contains population projections for each Indigenous Region by 5-year age group (up to 65 years and over) and sex, for the period 2006 to 2021. Figures for 30 June 2006 are experimental estimated resident Indigenous population based on results of the 2006 Census of Population and Housing.
