Tasmania had a higher proportion of murder investigations reaching a finalised status within 30 days of the investigation (100.0%) than any other State or Territory in Australia. This was closely followed by the Northern Territory with 80.0%. The lowest proportion of murder investgations that reached a finalised status within 30 days of the investigation was in the Australian Capital Territory, although this reflected only two murders.
