This class consists of units mainly engaged in the provision of labour for the loading or unloading of vessels.

Ship loading or unloading service (provision of labour only); Stevedoring

6622 Water Transport Terminals

This class consists of units mainly engaged in the operation of ship mooring facilities or of passenger or freight sea transport terminals (including sea cargo container terminals and coal or grain loaders) used for the loading or unloading of vessels.

Exclusions / References
Units mainly engaged in providing stevedoring services are included in Class 6621 Stevedoring.

6623 Port Operators

This class consists of units mainly engaged in the maintenance and leasing of port facilities to facilitate the land-sea transition of goods and passengers.

      (b) planning port facilities are included in the appropriate classes within Group 782 Technical Services.

This class consists of units mainly engaged in providing port and harbour services n.e.c. or services to water transport n.e.c..

Units mainly engaged in

      (a) repairing ships or boats are included in Classes 2821 Shipbuilding and 2822 Boatbuilding respectively;

      (b) chartering or leasing ships or boats for the transportation of passengers or freight (except fishing vessels and pleasure craft) with crew are included in the appropriate classes in Group 630 Water Transport;

      (c) operating water transport terminal facilities are included in Class 6622 Water Transport Terminals;

      (d) sea freight forwarding are included in Class 6643 Freight Forwarding (Except Road);

      (e) providing customs agency services are included in Class 6644 Customs Agency Services;

      (f) ship broking are included in Class 6649 Services to Transport n.e.c.; and

      (g) operating marina facilities for pleasure craft are included in Class 9319 Sports and Services to Sports n.e.c..
