This group covers R&D directed towards improving the efficiency, safety and utility of international and domestic air transport for passengers, freight and livestock.
It includes:

  • non-scheduled air and space transport;
  • air terminal infrastructure; and
  • air safety.
This group has six objectives:
    880301 Air Freight
    880302 Air Passenger Transport
    880303 Air Safety
    880304 Air Terminal Infrastructure and Management
    880305 Space Transport
    880399 Aerospace Transport not elsewhere classified

    Exclusions:
    a) Construction of air terminal infrastructure is included in Division 87 Construction.
