Exclusions:
a) Improvement of methods of producing or processing military or defence related equipment and materials are included in the appropriate groups in other divisions, e.g. military transport equipment is included in Group 8613 Transport Equipment.
b) Civil oriented projects although funded by defence agencies are included in the appropriate groups in other divisions, e.g. communication is included in Group 8901 Communication Networks and Services.
c) Development of measurement standards and calibration for defence related products and processes are included in Group 9105 Measurement Standards and Calibration Services.
d) R&D directed towards improving relationship with other countries for the purpose of improving national and international defence and security is included in Group 9403 International Relations.
