22/12/2011 Note: This Information Paper has been amended to reflect several changes to Customs Tariff codes. Overall, the changes described in the Information Paper have resulted in 2,297 Customs Tariff codes ceasing on 31 December 2011 and 1,340 commencing. The amendments have resulted in changes to the Unit of Quantity (UQ) for 29 Customs Tariff codes as reflected in Tables 2 and 4. Information relating to the AHECC has not been amended.

For more detailed information on the changes refer to the I-Notes attached to the Tables.

9/12/2011 Note: Table 4.1 has been revised to change the Unit of Quantity (UQ) for the Customs Tariff 10-digit codes 4409210008 and 4409290019 to Cubic Metres (CU). This change is to meet legislative requirements of the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service. Note that there are several other discrepancies between the UQs on the working tariff 2012 pages on the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service website as at 8 December 2011 and Table 4.1. The Australian Customs and Border Protection Service will revise these working pages on their website.
