Changes to Time Series Table 5 - "Exports of Fresh, Chilled, Frozen and Processed Meat: Original (tonnes)
The June Quarter 2012 release of this publication foreshadowed a change in the categories for the Meat Exports table, to take effect from September Quarter 2012. The effect of the changes is that some categories were merged or disappeared and two new categories (Edible Offal and Preserved Meat) were created.
Many of the time series in releases prior to September Quarter 2012 will not align with time series published since. However, the exports time series have been backcast to the beginning of the series in March Quarter 1988 in order to provide a consistent basis for comparison.
