Information for the wage price indexes is collected each quarter by mail questionnaires from a sample survey of approximately 4,800 private and public sector employers selected from the ABS Business Register. These employers select a sample of jobs from their workplace(s) using instructions provided by the ABS. Approximately 20,000 jobs are priced each quarter.
