This group covers the preparation, properties, uses and actions of drugs for medical uses. It includes pharmacogenomics.
This group has seven fields:

    111501 Basic Pharmacology
    111502 Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics
    111503 Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice
    111504 Pharmaceutical Sciences
    111505 Pharmacogenomics
    111506 Toxicology (incl. Clinical Toxicology)
    111599 Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences not elsewhere classified

    Exclusions:
    a) Medicinal chemistry is included in Group 0304 Medicinal and Biomolecular Chemistry.
    b) Pharmacology for veterinary use is included in Group 0707 Veterinary Sciences.
    c) Dental therapeutics, pharmacology and toxicology are included in Group 1105 Dentistry.
