Median weekly total earnings for all full-time Tasmanian adult non-managerial employees at May 2002 was $711.00, compared with $769.00 for Australia as a whole. The Tasmanian figure was the lowest of all the States and Territories.

One-tenth of all Tasmanian full-time adult non-managerial employees received weekly total earnings of $510.00 or less, while one-tenth received more than $1,105.00. The corresponding figures for Australia as a whole were $519.00 and $1,250.00.
