27/03/2009 Note: Additional Datacubes have been released to provide users with correspondence tables which can be used to compare data collected using the ANZSRC with that collected using the OECD's Fields of Science and Technology (FOS) 2007 classification and Eurostat's Nomenclature for the Analysis and Comparison of Scientific Programmes and Budgets (NABS) 2007 classification.

22/04/2008 Note: Data cube for Australian and New Zealand Standard Research Classification (ANZSRC), 2008 (1297.0) added to provide users with a version of the correspondence tables which could be more easily manipulated. Some links, minor typographical and formatting changes were made that have not affected the content of the classification.

18/12/2008 Note: Minor corrections have been made to code titles in the PDF and Data cube to rectify inconsistencies between the spreadsheet and other classification documents, and to rectify minor errors and omissions.

This is a compendium of three classifications developed specifically for the compilation of standardised research and development statistics. It comprises classifications for type of activity, field of research and socio-economic objective.
