1 The ABS release Population, Australian States and Territories, September 2002, Electronic delivery contained final estimates of net undercount in the 2001 Census of Population and Housing. In the Census, some people are missed and some are counted more than once. Usually, more people are missed than are over counted. The difference between the census count and the true population is called the net undercount of the Census.
