ABS announces Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey capital city and regional pick-up locations
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released details of 28 regional pick-up locations to ensure eligible Australians can have their say in the Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey.
ABS Deputy Statistician and Taskforce Lead, Jonathan Palmer, said the 28 pick-up sites would be open from 25 September to 20 October and would be staffed with authorised ABS officers to help people unable to receive a survey form by post.
“The regional pick-up locations, covering large parts of Australia, include Geelong, Ceduna, Coober Pedy, Derby, Fitzroy Crossing, Normanton, Katherine and Kununurra.
“At each location, eligible Australians who have not received a survey form can collect a new survey form after verifying their identity”.
“Providing this service will help all eligible Australians have their say in the voluntary postal survey regardless of where they live.
“Completed survey forms can be posted using the Reply Paid envelope via the nearest post office or red post box, or submitted to an ABS authorised officer at a registered pick-up location,” he said.
From 25 September to 20 October there will also be pick-up locations in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney where eligible Australians can pick up and drop off completed survey forms, weekdays from 8.30am to 4.30pm excluding public holidays.
These documents will be presented in a new window.
