National Data Acquisition Centre to open in Geelong
          What: Media are invited to attend the official opening of the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) National Data Acquisition Centre (NDAC) in Geelong. The NDAC is responsible for the collection of data for all the business and household surveys done by the ABS.

          When: Monday 11 April, 9.15am arrival for 9.30am start for speeches. Media conference straight after.

          Where: 12 Gheringhap Street, Geelong

          Who: The Australian Statistician, David W. Kalisch, will be joined by representatives from Deakin University and the Federal and State Governments.

          Video footage: A two minute video on the new office and some file vision will be available to media at the launch on USB by request.

          Media Note:

          · Media attending the launch are required to have photo ID to gain entry.
          · The Australian Statistician, David W. Kalisch, is available to speak with the media after the official opening along with some new Geelong-based employees.
