More help on using SVG
The ABS website uses SVG - Scalable Vector Graphics - for maps, example: Latest National Regional Profile by Location Map and interactive animated media, for example: Population pyramid. SVG content may not be supported by all browser types. To view SVG content, an internet explorer browser may be required.
Download the SVG viewer plug-in:
If you do not see the SVG map / content on the web page, it means that you do not have the SVG Viewer plug-in installed, or an older version of the viewer is detected which cannot render the SVG content on the web page.
You can go to the Adobe website and download the free viewer from http://www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install/mainframed.html. Please note that while Adobe SVG Viewer can still be downloaded, Adobe has announced that it discontinued support of this product on January 1, 2009.
