This section provides shortcut links to the ABS products released on the day. It is updated daily at 11:30 AM (Canberra time) to coincide with the ABS' release embargo policy. The link will take you to the Main Features of the publication or further information on the particular product. Other links on the homepage will take you to the Previous Releases, More releases for this day if applicable and Future Releases.

NOT ALL ABS STATISTICS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE ABS WEB SITE

AusStats contains all ABS publications from 1998 onwards in Adobe Acrobat (.PDF) format. For historical information or data over a longer time period you may need earlier editions of a publication or other historical data. For these you may have to go to a library to find the data you need in a print publication. Likewise, you may need to buy the full text of a publication or use an information consultancy to find very detailed information.

Main Features is the section of AusStats that provides free statistics to everyone. Main Features contains free summary information from many ABS publications. As these pages report the main findings of a publication, they satisfy many enquiries for basic data. Although the content of the Main Features can be quite extensive, it still does not provide the full text of the publication.
