Purpose

To identify various aspects of and changes in the labour force. The supplementary surveys provide additional data not collected in the Labour Force Survey, and the specific purpose of each varies according to the topic.

Description

Labour force supplementary surveys are conducted as a supplement to the Labour Force Survey. The supplementary surveys cover a wide variety of topics. The survey samples are a subset of the monthly Labour Force Survey, and sample sizes of the supplementary surveys may vary from topic to topic. The collection is a household-based sample conducted by personal interview.
