A monthly compendium of economic statistics, presenting a statistical summary of recent developments in the Australian economy. Includes comprehensive tables, charts, commentaries, feature articles and technical notes. It is primarily a reference document, providing a broad basis for analysis and research on the Australian economy and includes statistics which can be applied to both macro economic and sectoral analyses. The publication begins with a monthly review, followed by statistics under the following headings: National Accounts, International Accounts, Public Sector Accounts, Consumption and Investment, Production, Prices, Labour Force and Demography, Incomes and Labour Costs, Financial Markets, and International Comparisons. The March through to January issues generally present the statistics as time series for the last nine years of annual data, and for the last nine quarters or fifteen months of data. The February issue contains longer time series.
