TREND ESTIMATES

The trend estimate for short-term visitor arrivals to Australia for January 2008 (470,200 movements) changed little compared with December 2007 (469,900 movements). Over the last fourteen months the trend estimate has remained stable.

SEASONALLY ADJUSTED ESTIMATES

The seasonally adjusted estimate for short-term visitor arrivals to Australia for January 2008 (469,200 movements) changed little compared with December 2007 (469,400 movements). This followed a monthly increase of 2.2% for November 2007 and a monthly decrease of 0.7% for December 2007.



ORIGINAL ESTIMATES

In original movement terms, there were an estimated 453,300 short-term visitor arrivals to Australia during January 2008.
