TREND ESTIMATES

The trend estimate for short-term visitor arrivals to Australia for July 2007 (470,900 movements) decreased by 0.5% compared with June 2007 (473,200 movements). This followed monthly decreases of 0.4% for May 2007 and 0.5% for June 2007.


Currently, short-term visitor arrivals are 3.9% higher than in July 2006.



SEASONALLY ADJUSTED ESTIMATES

The seasonally adjusted estimate for short-term visitor arrivals to Australia for July 2007 (467,400 movements) decreased by 0.9% compared with June 2007 (471,800 movements). This followed monthly decreases of 0.3% for May 2007 and 0.2% for June 2007.
