DATA NOTES

Issues have been identified in the reporting of sales of wine in the "other containers" category of white table wine and red/rose table wine. These issues are being investigated and data may be subject to revision in future releases.

There have been recent changes to the Harmonised Tariff Item Statistical Codes (HTISC) as of 1 January 2012. As a result of these changes the amount of data available for imports has decreased. For more information about the HTISC changes affecting this publication see Chapter 22 - Beverages, spirits and vinegar in the Combined Australian Customs Tariff Nomenclature and Statistical Classification available at the Australian Customs and Boarder Protective Service website:http://www.customs.gov.au, or refer to Information paper: Changes to AHECC and Customs Tariff, 2012 (cat. no. 5368.0.55.017).

Due to the seasonal nature of the data, quarterly movements are no longer included in commentary.

Further information on domestic sales and imports data is available by downloading the time-series (original) spreadsheets:
