Australia's three levels of government allocated a total of $6.7 billion to cultural activities in 2009-10.
Recurrent and Capital Expenditure
In 2009-10, 87% of total cultural funding was of a recurrent nature.

More than three quarters of total cultural funding by state and territory governments was allocated to heritage activities in 2009-10.
Funding per Person
Funding allocated to cultural activities by Australia's three levels of government equates to $301 per person in 2009-10.
