Pigs are raised throughout Victoria; the highest numbers are in the Loddon and Wimmera Statistical Divisions (SDs). At 30 June 2005, the Victorian pig herd stood at 524,000.

At 30 June 2005, most pigs in Victoria were found in the Loddon SD (142,000). This was followed by the Wimmera SD with 119,000.
