Data Notes

The Seasonally adjusted values of Residential Building Work Commenced for the March and June quarters should be interpreted with caution and will be reanalysed for the September quarter. For more information about seasonal adjustment please refer to paragraph 22 of the explanatory notes.

The trend estimates should be interpreted with caution as the underlying behaviour of building activity may be affected by Government stimulus packages as well as other developments associated with global economic conditions. For more details on trend estimates, please see paragraphs 28 to 30 of the explanatory notes.

ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY, AUSTRALIA, June QTR 2012 (cat. no. 8762.0)

Data Notes

Several time series spreadsheets for the June quarter 2012 contain 'np' (not available for publication) annotations. This is due to confidential data being contained in these series.

Trend estimates should be used with caution due to the volatility caused by large engineering projects. For more details on trend estimates, please see paragraphs 22 to 24 of the explanatory notes.
