In current prices, the trend estimate for Australian turnover was relatively unchanged (0.0%) in November 2010 and October 2010 (0.0%) following a rise of 0.1% in September 2010.

The seasonally adjusted estimate for Australian turnover rose 0.3% in November 2010 following a revised fall of 0.8% in October 2010 and a rise of 0.1% in September 2010.

The original estimate for Australian turnover rose 2.8% in November 2010. The original estimate for chains and other larger retailers rose 3.7% in November 2010. The original estimate for smaller retailers rose 1.4% in November 2010.

TOTAL RETAIL - BY STATE

The following states and territories rose in trend terms in November 2010: Victoria (0.2%), Western Australia (0.3%), Tasmania (0.1%) and the Australian Capital Territory (0.3%). New South Wales (-0.3%), Queensland (-0.1%), the Northern Territory (-1.1%) and South Australia (-0.1%) fell in trend terms in November 2010.

The following states and territories rose in seasonally adjusted terms in November 2010: New South Wales (0.6%), Queensland (0.6%), Victoria (0.2%) and the Australian Capital Territory (1.0%). Tasmania (0.0%) was relatively unchanged. South Australia (-0.9%), Western Australia (-0.2%) and the Northern Territory (-0.9%) fell in seasonally adjusted terms in November 2010.
