KEY POINTS

Gross value quarterly original movements for June 2018:
  • After a 1.0% decrease last quarter, the gross value of cattle and calves increased 8.4% to $2,800 million in the June 2018 quarter.
  • The gross value of sheep and lambs increased 4.0% to $1,095 million following a 1.3% increase in the March 2018 quarter.
  • The gross value of pigs continued to remain steady with a slight increase (1.0%) to $285 million in the June 2018 quarter.
  • The gross value of poultry increased 3.5% to $662 million, following a 9.4% decrease in the March 2018 quarter.
