MEAT PRODUCTION TREND


BEEF

Beef production decreased 2% to 524 thousand tonnes in the year to the June quarter 2009.


MUTTON AND LAMB
Graph: Mutton and Lamb

While mutton production decreased 17% to 55 thousand tonnes in the year to the June quarter 2009, lamb production increased 7% to 109 thousand tonnes.


PIG MEAT

Pig meat production decreased 11% to 79 thousand tonnes in the year to the June quarter 2009.


TOTAL RED MEAT
Graph: Total Red Meat

Total red meat production dropped 3% to 774 thousand tonnes over the year to the June quarter 2009.


CHICKEN MEAT
Graph: Chicken Meat

In the year to the June quarter 2009, chicken meat production increased 6% to 211 thousand tonnes.
