MEAT PRODUCTION

Meat production quarterly trend movements for December 2014:

Beef:
Beef production was 656,000 tonnes, an increase of 2%

Veal:
Veal production remained steady at 10,300 tonnes

Mutton:
Mutton production was 58,900 tonnes, an increase of 1%

Lamb:
Lamb production was 124,000 tonnes, an increase of 1%

Pig meat:
Pig meat production was 91,300 tonnes, an increase of 1%

Total red meat:
Total red meat production was 941,000 tonnes, an increase of 2%

Chicken meat:
Chicken meat production was 280,000 tonnes, an increase of 1%
