From 2006 data relating to flex time, rostered days off, absences from work, types of leave used and availability of child care will no longer be collected. However, new data items on overtime or extra hours worked, job scheduling and days worked will be included.

Provides information about paid employees (excluding payment in kind and contributing family workers) aged 15 years and over and their working arrangements, such as shift work, overtime, rostered days off and start and finish times. Among the topics covered are full-time/part-time status, industry, occupation, hours worked, overtime or extra hours worked, job scheduling, days worked and information about core employment benefits, such as leave entitlements. Estimates can be cross-classified by demographics such as state, sex, age, marital status and country of birth, as well as labour force characteristics.

Data for August 1995 are available as a standard data service (6342.0.40.001).
