UNEMPLOYED PERSONS TREND ESTIMATES


MALES

The trend estimate of unemployed males generally fell from 342,400 in February 2003 to 235,700 in June 2007. The trend then rose to 383,600 in June 2009, before falling to 305,400 in March 2011. The trend then generally rose to 359,000 in February 2013.

FEMALES

The trend estimate of unemployed females generally fell from 270,800 in February 2003 to 228,800 in February 2008. The trend then rose to 292,100 in September 2009, before falling to 282,900 in February 2010. The trend has since generally risen to 301,000 in February 2013.

PERSONS

The trend estimate of unemployed persons generally fell from 613,200 in February 2003 to 468,100 in March 2008. The trend then rose to 674,900 in June 2009 before falling to 592,300 in March 2011. The trend has since generally risen to 660,000 in February 2013.
