FULL TIME TO TOTAL EMPLOYMENT RATIO FOR SELECTED AGE GROUPS AND MARITAL STATUS ANNUAL AVERAGES


15 TO 24 YEARS

The full time to total employment ratio of persons married has been higher than for persons not married for all of the period 1979 through 2011. Both ratios have recorded decreases throughout this period.

25 TO 54 YEARS

Unlike the 15 to 24 years age group, the full time to total employment ratio of persons not married has been higher than for persons married for all of the period 1979 through 2011. Throughout this period, the difference between the two ratios has narrowed markedly.

55 AND OVER

The full time to total employment ratio of persons married has been higher than for persons not married for most of the period 1979 through 2011. Both ratios have recorded decreases throughout this period.
