TAXATION PER CAPITA


In 2012–13, taxation per capita was $18,108, an increase of 5% from $17,313 in 2011–12.

The Commonwealth Government taxation per capita rose 5% from $14,101 in 2011–12 to $14,760 in 2012–13.

The average taxation per capita for state and local governments combined in 2012–13 was $3,377, an increase of 4% from $3,240 in 2011–12.

All states recorded an increase in taxation per capita from 2011-12 to 1012-13. Northern Territory recorded the highest percentage increase in taxation per capita rising 16%. Queensland recorded the lowest increase with taxation per capita rising 2%.
