Preliminary analysis shows that, in seasonally adjusted terms, goods imports volumes fell about 1.6% and the implicit price deflator fell about 1.6% during the September quarter 2006. The Chain Laspeyres price index fell about 0.3% in original terms. The final volume and price outcomes will be included in the September quarter 2006 issue of Balance of Payments and International Investment Position, Australia (5302.0) to be released on 5 December 2006.
