Summary Comments

Compensation of employees (COE)
  • The trend decrease of 0.3% reflected a fall of 0.2% in average earnings coupled with a 0.2% fall in the number of wage and salary earners. Seasonally adjusted, COE rose by 0.2%, reflecting a rise in average earnings of 0.3% and a fall of 0.1% in the number of wage and salary earners. Seasonally adjusted, COE represented 54.4% of Total factor income.

Gross operating surplus (GOS)
