At 30 June 2004, the Victorian sheep and lamb flock stood at 20.0 million. The highest numbers were found in the Western District, Central Highlands and Wimmera Statistical Divisions (SD).

At 30 June 2004, most sheep and lambs in Victoria were found in the Western District SD (5.9 million). This was followed by the Central Highlands SD with 3.2 million and the Wimmera SD with 3.0 million.
