This datacube contains time series data on children's participation in selected cultural and other activities, by age group (5-8 years, 9-11 years and 12-14 years) and sex in 2000, 2003 and 2006.

Data is provided at a national level on children's participation numbers and participation rates, and on the mean and median hours of participation in the activities.

The cultural activities included are playing a musical instrument, singing, dancing, drama.

The selected other activities included are skateboarding or rollerblading, bike riding, watching TV, videos or DVD's, playing electronic or computer games, art and craft, reading and homework.
