Reports due out soon

i) The CMC SWG publication, Cultural Funding in Australia - Three Tiers of Government 1997-1998, provides State/Territory breakdowns of public funding, recurrent and capital expenditure and funding per head of population by each category of cultural activity. It is due for release in October.

ii) The ABS publication, Participation in Sport and Physical Activities, Australia, 1998-99 (Cat. no. 4177.0) presents data collected using the ABS household survey vehicle the Population Survey Monitor. Data relates to participation in the 12 months prior to interview and include participation rates for selected activities by state and by age. It is due for release in mid November.

iii) Attendance at Selected Cultural Venues, Australia, April 1999, ABS Cat. no. 4114.0 is an ABS publication which provides details of attendance and basic demographics of people who attended a number of selected venues or activities during the 12 months ending April 1999. The publication updates data published in March 1995 and is expected to be released in December.

iv) Sports Attendance, Australia, April 1999, ABS Cat. no. 4174.0 is expected to be released in December and contains the results of a survey of people who attended sporting events in the 12 months prior to April 1999. The publication updates a March 1995 publication and is expected to be released in December.
