Provides experimental estimates and projections of the Indigenous population based on the 2001 Census for states and territories by five-year age groups and sex. Experimental Indigenous estimates at June 2001 will be included for capital city and balance of state, remoteness areas, major population regions and section of state. ATSIC region estimates at June 2001 will be provided, ATSIC region projections to 2009 will be available electronically in a datacube format. Also included will be estimates and projections for the non-Indigenous and/or total population where appropriate and separate estimates of the Torres Strait Islander population at June 2001.
Estimates of the June 2001 Indigenous and non-Indigenous resident population at the Statistical Local Area level by age and sex are available electronically in a datacube format.
