1.Estimated resident population (ERP) data for June quarter 2006 is preliminary rebased, based on the 2006 Census. All intercensal quarterly population estimates preceding the June quarter 2006 (September quarter 2001–March quarter 2006) have been adjusted due to component revisions.

2.Net overseas migration (NOM) estimates contain a break in time series. Estimates for September quarter 2006 onwards use an improved methodology and are not comparable with NOM estimates from earlier periods – see paragraph 1 of the Technical Note.

3.September and December quarters 2006 births and deaths data have been readjusted. See paragraphs 11–12 of the Explanatory Notes.

4.The number of birth registrations in Queensland for the March quarter 2007 is abnormally high. This is mainly due to the resolution of a lag in processing birth registrations by the Queensland Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
