Australian National Accounts: Tourism Satellite Account 2006-07 (cat. no. 5249.0)
Presents estimates of the direct contribution of the tourism industry to the Australian economy within the context of a satellite account linked to the Australian System of National Accounts, for the years 1997-98 to 2004-05. The publication also presents more detailed results from the Benchmark years of 1997-98 and 2000-01. The publication shows the contribution of tourism to major economic aggregates, such as GDP, as well as details by type of visitor, what products were purchased by tourists, and which industries supplied those products. In addition, data on employment in tourism industries and visitor numbers is presented. The Tourism Satellite Account provides users with a macro-economic framework to conduct analyses of tourism impacts on the economy.

Labour Statistics in Brief, Australia 2008 (cat. no. 6104.0)
Presents a range of summary statistics with the emphasis on simple tabular and graphical presentations. Most of the ABS labour collections are covered, including the Labour Force Survey, the range of employer surveys and the industrial disputes collection. Australian data are compared with those of the major Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development member countries.

Information Paper: Persons with Main Source of Income from Own Unincorporated Business, Experimental Estimates for Small Areas, Australia, 1996-97 to 2003-04 (cat. no. 6225.0)
This Information Paper presents regional experimental estimates of the number of persons whose main or principal source of income comes from their own unincorporated business(es). Estimates of the aggregated individual income (or 'take home pay') these persons receive from their own unincorporated business(es) and the total income they receive from all sources are also available from this series.

Labour Force Characteristics of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, Estimates from the Labour Force Survey, 2007 (cat. no. 6287.0)
This publication provides estimates of the labour force characteristics of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians using data from the Labour Force Survey. The publication also draws attention to statistical and data quality issues that should be considered when using the estimates.

Agricultural Commodities: Small Area Data, Australia, 2005-06 (cat. no. 7125.0)
A useful electronic product enabling clients to compare agricultural commodities across small geographic areas within each state. It contains annual estimates for all commodities for Statistical Divisions (SD) and five-yearly Agricultural Census data for selected commodities for Statistical Local Areas (SLA). Commodities include livestock numbers and crop and horticulture production. Data for Value of Agricultural Commodities Produced (VACP) will be included in July 2008. Future issues may be updated with additional data, such as industry structure as it becomes available.

Value of Agricultural Commodities Produced, Australia, 2005-06 (cat. no. 7503.0)
The 2005-06 issue is the first release of final estimates of Value of Agricultural Production data from the 2005-06 Agricultural Census. Gross value of production data are provided for selected broadacre, fruit (including grapes) and vegetable crops, livestock slaughterings and other disposals, and livestock products.

Digital Game Development Services, Australia, 2006-07 (First Issue) (cat. no. 8515.0)
Contains information about digital game development services in Australia. Data includes number of businesses, employment, income, expenses, operating profit before tax and industry value added. Also includes information on main activity of persons employed and game format.
Cafes, Restaurants and Catering Serives, Australia, 2006-07 (cat. no. 8655.0)
Contains information on the number of cafes, restaurants and caterers in Australia. Includes information on the type of business, employment, detailed income and expenses, with breakdowns by business size and state.
ENVIRONMENTAL RELEASES

Water Use on Australian Farms, 2005-2006 (cat. no. 4618.0)
Information on irrigation practices on Australian farms was first collected in the Water Survey - Agriculture 2002-03 and since then has been part of the annual Agricultural Survey or Census. Included in this issue are data on the type and area of crops irrigated, volume of water applied, and the sources of water used in agriculture. Data are available for each State, Statistical Division, Natural Resource Management regions and the Murray Darling Basin. Some previous estimates are included for 2002-03, 2003-04 and 2004-05. Data Cubes will be released for this product at a later date.

The Making the Most of Your 2006 Census Community Profile Series is an easy reference guide for users of the Community Profile Series. The booklet provides a table index and geography information for the Profiles which make up the Community Profile Series. These Profiles are Basic Community Profile (BCP), Place of Enumeration Profile (PEP), Indigenous Profile (IP), Time Series Profile (TSP), Expanded Community Profile (XCP) and the Working Population Profile (WPP).

Information Paper: Population Concepts, 2008 (First Issue) (cat. no. 3107.0.55.006)
This paper discusses and examines various concepts of population with particular emphasis on service population and legally resident population. Issues and limitations associated with definition or in the conceptual framework of the various population concepts are also included.

Regional Population Growth, Australia, 2006-07 (cat. no. 3218.0)
Contains estimates of the resident populations of areas of Australia as at 30 June in each year from 2001 to 2007. The areas for which estimates are provided are Local Government Areas (LGAs), Statistical Local Areas (SLAs), Statistical Divisions (SDs), Statistical Subdivisions (SSDs), Statistical Districts and states and territories of Australia, according to the 2007 edition of the Australian Standard Geographical Classification (ASGC).

Information Paper: ABS Causes of Death Statistics: Concepts, Sources and Methods, 2006 (First Issue) (cat. no. 3317.0.55.002)
Causes of Death statistics, and the use of these statistics for demographic and health purposes, are key to understanding current and future pictures of Australian society and formulation and monitoring of policies. Causes of death information provide insights into the diseases and factors contributing to reduced life expectancy. Causes of death statistics are one of the oldest and most comprehensive set of health statistics available in Australia. This information paper gives an overview of the sources and methods used by the ABS to produce causes of death statistics.

Migration, Australia, 2006-07 (cat. no. 3412.0)
This publication brings together statistics on international migration into and out of Australia, interstate migration within Australia and information on overseas-born residents of Australia. Australia's migration is described in the context of the Government's migration program and in comparison with international migration experienced by other countries.

Arts and Culture in Australia: A Statistical Overview 2008 (First Edition) (cat. no. 4172.0)
Provides a statistical overview of culture in Australia. Contains information on a range of topics including employment in culture, time spent on cultural activities, attendances at cultural venues and events, expenditure on culture, and imports and exports of cultural goods and services. Also provides profiles of the cultural sectors, grouped according to the Australian Culture and Leisure Industry Classification.

Population Characteristics, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, 2006 (cat. no. 4713.0)
Presents information on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians based on information from the 2006 Census. A range of information available from the Census is covered in a general overview of the characteristics of Indigenous Australians. Topics covered include: the demographic and geographic distribution of the population and its growth in recent years; living arrangements; language, religion and disability; education and IT use; work; income; and housing and transport. Also includes information on how to interpret census data on Indigenous peoples.

Information Paper: Arts and Cultural Heritage - An Information Development Plan, 2008 (First Issue) (cat. no. 4915.0.55.002)
Identifies the agreed priorities and action for information development in the area of Arts and Cultural Heritage. The paper also identifies gaps in available data and provides recommendations for addressing these data gaps. Recommendations will be implemented collaboratively by the ABS and other key producers of Arts and Cultural Heritage data over the next 3 to 5 years.
Experimental Estimates of Imputed Rent, Australia, 2003-04 and 2005-06 (First Issue) (cat. no. 6525.0)
This Information Paper presents household level estimates of the imputed rent for owner-occupied dwellings derived from the 2003-04 and 2005-06 Surveys of Income and Housing and the 2003-04 Household Expenditure Survey.
