ABS Statistical Training Making Quality Informed Decisions This 1 day course is intended to assist people to effectively use a quality framework to systematically understand quality issues associated with using data sources. This course will also equip participants with the necessary skills to apply that understanding when making a decision (eg, on policy). There is also a strong emphasis on the importance of using good quality data to promote informed decision-making. This course is suitable for those who may need to develop and manage data collections, and wish to look at quality improvement. Course outcomes; ▪ Ability to determine a data need using a quality framework. ▪ The skills to quality assess and evaluate possible data sources in the context of the data need (using a quality framework). ▪ Ability to identify the limitations of a data source using the results of the evaluation, the knowledge and ability to apply risk manage- ment concepts to make an informed decision.
