2006 CENSUS DESIGN

2006 Census - NSW Collection District Design. The Collection District (CD) is designed for use in the Census and is the smallest unit for the collection. Although the majority of the 11,706 CDs in NSW remain stable between each census, it is necessary to accommodate population growth and changes to administrative boundaries such as NSW Local Government Areas. CD designers are currently making contact with NSW planning agencies and councils to seek information regarding areas of population change, existence of secured apartment buildings, and location of non-private establishments.
