CAMPAIGN

Introduction
To make sure all eligible Australians were aware of the Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey and had the opportunity to participate, the ABS conducted a mass media-led campaign, to inform the public about the collection process, including when and how to participate, the voluntary nature of the survey and to remind people when the survey is closing.
The campaign included television, radio, print and digital advertisements and was rolled out from 11 August to 3 November 2017, in the following three phases:

Phase 1 - Enrolment: To encourage all eligible voters to enrol or check that their enrolment details are up to date on the Commonwealth Electoral Roll

Phase 2 - Survey Period: To raise awareness survey materials will be sent to all eligible electors on the Commonwealth Electoral Roll – look out for your letter/envelope, complete it and mail it back straight away

Phase 3 - Reminder: To raise awareness the survey is closing soon. Have your say.
