DID YOU KNOW ? Image: Man with giant question mark

Facts*** about agriculture that you may, or may not, want to know...

  • An acre will produce enough wheat for about 2,500 loaves of bread.
  • It takes around 24 to 26 hours for a hen to produce an egg. They have a 30 minute rest (maybe take time for a cup of tea) then start all over again. They will, however, take a few days off now and then.
  • It is possible to lead a cow up the stairs, but not down the stairs, because their knees can't bend properly to be able to walk down.
  • Pumpkins were once recommended for removing freckles and curing snake bites.
