STANDARD OUTPUT CATEGORIES

13. 'Sources of income' can be output at any level of the classification supported by reported data.

14. The minimum standard output categories are:

Sources of income

    Employee income
    Unincorporated business income
    Government pensions and allowances
    Other income

15. Since a person, income unit, family or household may have income from more than one of these sources, estimates of the total number of people receiving income for the four categories will sum to a number greater than the total population and consequently proportions for the four categories will sum to greater than 100%.
