METHOD OF COLLECTION

Apprentices/trainees and employers are required to complete a series of questions on their National Apprenticeship/Traineeship Training Contract. State and territory training authorities are responsible for the provision of data to NCVER for each client who has an active training contract on or after 1 July 1998.

NCVER advises the training authorities of the timing for the extraction and submission of data on a quarterly basis. After the agency has extracted data from its system it is required to validate the data using the AVETMISS Validation Software. This ensures the data provided complies with the AVETMISS standard and is consistent nationally.
