Discusses how the National Health Survey can be used to provide information on alcohol consumption in Australia with regard to both the 2001 and 2009 National Health and Medical Research Council alcohol guidelines. Includes estimates of the number of persons who exceeded the guidelines in 2001, 2004-05 and 2007-08.
